Dedicated to Dentistry, but didn't get the grades
Hi, I am really 210% dedicated to Dentistry, I absolutely love it. I have shadowed my own Dentist and an Orthodontist at the Hospital, and I still love it! My only problem is I chose the wrong A Levels for all the wrong reasons. I did Spanish, Psychology, and Computing and Chemistry and got BBBc. Obviously my grades are too bad to go and study Dentistry, because unfortunately this country cares more about academic quality than passion for a profession in which people are desperately needed. I have thought about apply for the foundation course but becasue I did Chemistry at AS Level I am uneligible.
Anyway I am planning to take A levels again and re-apply when I am mature student, I was thinking of doing Chemistry, Biology, and Maths/Physics. I am unsure which Dental schools prefer either Maths or Physics does anyone know? I also wanted to know whether it is more advisable to do an Access course instead of A Levels although I think most universities don't accept this qulaification, Does anybody know?
If I dont get the grades again I will go abroad to study, obviously I will have to learn the foreign language most probably, does anyone have any advise, on studying dentistry in another country?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Wow, you are really dedicated and your dedication will gee you far. I know that depending on the university you need either AAA or AAB. For any type of medicine you need 2 science subjects at A Level. I know that most dental students took/ take biology because it helps. I am contempalting about dentisry and I know that nowadays some (only some) universities do like diversity, but if you feel confident with all three sciences and maths, then go for it! If you still need extra help the bets thing to do would be to go to your locla libraby and look in the occupation handbook for 2005. Its updated every year and it helps you to understand the requirements ofr dentisry, I hope that helps!
