With that attitude, you are unlikely to make a good doctor. they know more about drugs than you so thgats a very stupid comment, as youre implying you/medics are superior.

Doctors do earn a lot of money just not in the UK. If you want be rich as a doctor a) work private b) practice in USA or Saudi Arabia

ok
i am in the same boat...medicine v dentistry. they are similar, by this i mean they both are rewarding and need similar a levels and grades etc. They both are paid well. Just one thing...i have been told taht it is ulimatley easier to become a a GDP (and quicker) then a regular medical GP (which is the feild iw would want to specialise in).

" Now if we're talking failed medics just look at the people on a pharmacy degree" sorry jake, i have to say this but the comment you made about pharmacy degrees is a bit arrogant! i can assure u that a pharmacy degree is actually a good deal harder than medical degree- its easier to get in to because not so many people want to do it. probably because the pay isn't brilliant!

Oh dear, once more it crops up - please read the rest of the thread. I am unsure where you have your information from but I'm afraid you're in the minority in believing pharmacy is a great deal harder than medicine. Having worked in a pharmacy myself, and having many friends who are pharmacists studying medicine I completely disagree with you. I haven't yet met a medic who has undertaken pharmacy as a second degree (though I am sure it has happened somewhere) but have met many vice versa. I am of course assuming you have both a degree in pharmacy and are currently studying medicine ?

i just felt that your comment was rather ignorant and offensive! just because something is easier to get into it doesnt mean it is inferior! all i can say is that i hope that not all medical students share the same views as yourself on pharmacists!

I don't agree that my comments are ignorant - they are infact informed. I am sorry you find it offensive, sadly that doesn't stop it from being true. If you actually read the thread (and my friends who have a pharmacy degree have and are laughing) then you will realise it was said in jest (almost 2 years ago). And I do hope you manage to find a sense of humour, you will certainly need it if you enter the Medical/Dental profession.
