Everyone,
I wanted to talk to David Geffen about his article on the following website:
Torticollis
In the article it says torticollis should last only a few days or weeks. I had a severe case that lasted months. My situation was trauma induced. This is my story.
After working 70 hours a week for about 2 weeks, I took a plane trip across the country to deliver the software I had just finished and tested. This was before luggage had wheels on it. My bag probably weighed 60 pounds. During my 5 day stay, I probably slept at most 4 to 6 hours for several days and 8 hours one day. I was exhausted. Then I had to carry my bag through the airport on my return trip. I crashed at home in my bed. The next day I woke up and my neck was permanently cocked to the right.
Over the next year I tried a neurologist who gave me different new drugs. Most made me feel weird and none worked.
I tried a chiropractor with temporary success.
It wasn't until I went to a physical therapist who treated me in conjunction with a psychiatrist that I was finally cured for life.
That treatment several days a week for several months included heat massage therapy, weights and spa treatments. The psychiatrist dealt with my guilt for feeling that the software I delivered was not perfect and that I took too personally.
Anyways I am cured and wanted David and everyone to know that I personally feel strongly that drugs and surgery ARE NOT THE SOLUTION.
I hope you all find this of value.
