    OSCE Feedback

    Hi,
I am interested to know what kind of feedback current medical students receive at other medical schools. We currently do not receive individual feedback for OSCEs and I was wondering how this compares.

    Many thanks

I understand we don't give feed back here at SGUL.
I know that at the OSCE's that I have been involved with no feed back was given, but I cant speak for all.

HYMS give us a photocopy of the examiner's notes from each station.

Nope, no individual osce feedback - well I've never had any...

I think you have to use the freedom of information act to look at your past osce marksheets in registry but they do give feedback for the year group as a whole.

we just get told whether we've passed a station or not. that's it.

And we need to get a minimum of lets say eg. 8 stations passed...out of a number. And at least 50% overall.

oh and we get centile ratings.

For keele: We get OSCE exam feedback in the form of ticklist and comment. More recently, we've got audio feedback so I dno whether or not that will replace it.

Its just which stations you passed and failed at my medical school , oh and you do get the mark, but its vague and hard to work out which station retrospectivally that it refers to eg Psych history 1, psych history 2. If you fail, you get more feedback - you get to see all of the comments etc
4/6 the way there! eeek! Entering 4th medical year. To find out about what its like being on the wards check out my blog at:www.halfadoctor.blogspot.com
