The latest in the field of medicine
Hey everyone............
I am currently in the first year of my university. We have all been assigned to prepare a presentation on 'the latest in the world of medicine'., whether that be a surgery, drug, recently discovered treatment disease or whatever. The is, it has got to be something new that people interested and astonished to know about. I have thought of working on 'stem cells', but i am currently thinking of switching over to something else. SO ppl could u please give me some bright ideas.

There are always lots of new drugs coming out - especially around areas such as in infection - perhaps choosing one (i.e. an anti-HIV drug) which has a novel mode of action might be interesting? Or not 'new' enough?

Stem cells is a bit cliché xD Maybe the latest HIV vaccine? The lab on a chip?

lab-on-a chip would be an awesome choice, its not completely medical and perhaps shows interest in more of a breadth of subjects!
