Cool Are the Piccolight Otoscopes Conventional for £36 a waste of money?

I am thinking of buying a Piccolight Otoscope for £36 from Medisave as a gift for a 3rd year medical student for Xmas. Is this a waste of money? Are they too cheap to be any good. Would she use it. She already has a stethoscope and a blood pressure monitor. Any ideas?

I've used an otoscope probably less than 20 times ever. It's not really worth having your own as a medical student.

Agree to the above poster. It's not really that useful.
