Haha I know someone who dropped out when he was in the final year of a four year science degree. Now he's in the third year of a four year nursing degree and he's planning on doing medicine after...he's a mad yoke!

He must be mad !!! He should have stuck with the science and he would be have been nearly the qualified as a Dr by the time he was a nurse lol.

I can't wait to get this course over with, I love it but I will love med more. Our course is mega stressful and physically demanding because we get blocks of placement from day 1 in the hospital. Most of the time you are working your backside off (as much as the midwives with the exception of drugs) more than learning/observing more. Medicine seems to be more relaxed in the first few years, just much more to learn, but I can cope with that :P x

I didn't ask but the fact he dropped out just before his thesis was due, he may have been going through a lot. Still a mad yoke though, he goes to college full time and works nights in casualty.

Half seven starts and all that? I bet it is exhausting, you guys deserve more time off! Well keeping busy hopefully the time will fly by and you'll be in medicine before you know it

I know, that's a shame, you don't really know anybody's situation when things like that happen.

We start at 7 for an early but I live 2 hours away from my uni and placement so I'm out the door for 5am haha.
Anyway I'm going to stop moaning... It's my family's fault, our boiler is broke and everyone around me is complaining, it's me that's the ill one lol !!!

Guess what I found out today ( slightly random disclosure and off topic). However...

After emailing the NHS bursary people in England RE: residency conditions for funding on the 4 year course for Scottish people, they said there was no specified length of time that you had to stay there ( I though you had to live/work in England for 3 years). So scottish people can go live in England for a month and get funded for the last 3 years but have to end up in massive debt to study here !!!
