    big problem

    hi doctors everywhere and anywhere >>

    i'm glad to be member in this forum ...

    i've abig problem in my course ..

    I forgate the basic information in the anatomy and physiology ,,,etc

    how can you dealing with this problem and why that's happen with me????
    i need the help

    it can happen to anyone. if you can make it til summer, just rewise the basics or if you can't, start doing it now

    Remember it is an entire new language you are learning! You don't become fluent overnight as it takes a lot of practice.

    Repetition is the key! Also find a learning style that works for you! I find teaching other people a good way (so find some friends and pick a topic to teach each other). I also learn best from an audio point of view (talking to myself) so I sit there and explain out loud the concept, the details, investigations and drugs etc. Then ask yourself questions and come up with answers. Really works for me - much better than just looking at words on a page! Just find somewhere pretty soundproof or your housemates may have you sectioned...

    Also work throughout the year - 2 weeks before exams with 12 textbooks strewn on the floor trying to learn it that way is the road to despair! Make notes throughout the term and revise early (esp. important in the clinical years when you may not get study leave)

    Trying to explain it to someone else is really good (usually my mother) because you soon identify which areas you're not too sure of - especially if they ask awkward questions (as my mother does)
