It's a bit swings and roundabouts really - opioids may falsely induce the signs/symptoms of worsening head injury, but NSAIDs may actually make the head injury worse, so you have to choose your poison!
Ketorlac inparticular, can cause significant bleeding, and is specifically contraindicated in actual or suspected cerebral bleeding, which may well be what's going on in this head injury. For these reasons, it's only licensed for post-op use when the risk of bleeding is low (although that doesn't necessarily prevent its use in other settings, it may be an indication that it is unwise!). The same considerations apply to many of the other NSAIDS.
