French medical student
Hello!
I'm a French medical student, Barnabé. I write to you in order to get informations about medical studies in the UK.
I am at the present time in 2nd year of medical studies in France (Paris Descartes), but in a few years, I would like to continue my medical studies in England. In France I study in parallel with my medical studies a MASTER cursus of biology and surgerie's technics. I study that to be (later I wish...) surgeon and teacher/searcher
I wonder if it exists in England or not. And could you tell me more about the admissions in the medical schools (for students who have finished their fondamental learning, just before beginning the clinic)? Are there one or two "best" medical schools, or all the universities are they the same level?
I would like to find a medical school where it could be possible to continue at the same time medical studies and scientific studies to make research... I heared about "traditionnal teaching" in Cambridge or Oxford...?
So thank you very much for your answers,
merci beaucoup!!!
Barnabé
(And sorry for my english which is very bad, but I'll work it
)

salut barnabe!

Ok thank you very much for your answer and the link!! (and for the french language too
)
I wondered if it was possible to apply in one of these universities (Oxford, Cambridge, ...) in 2 years:
because in two years i will have finiched to learn all the fondamental things (anatomy, pathology, embryology, histology, physiology, beginning of semiology,psychology, ethics, etc...) and after i must learn the clinic (it spends 3 years in France), and it would be at this time I could arrive...
Is somebody in the same case of me?
Or is there somebody who knows somebody in the same case of me?

visitez http://www.anglofrenchmedical.org/
d'ou venez-vous ? Paris ou province?
(j'ai pas de clavier francais ici - alors excusez la manque d'accents :P)Last edited by heed; 11-09-2007 at 08:33 PM.

I come from Paris 5 (Descartes).
But does the education's system of french studies correspond (even just a bit) to "traditional" medical schools in UK (Oxford, Cambridge)?
Because I really would like to undertake studies in the UK at this time (just before clinical learning)...
Is the learning (in these universities) really NOT the same as in France?
