    music or no music??

hehe, well i should be revising but am procrasinating as usual........so heres my thread...

to all u current med students.....do u revise with music or not music....im personally revising with music but:

pros: keeps me at my desk and with books longer

cons: get distracted by music or get into it a little too much...not convinced if im learning / concentrating as deep with music than without...

so...wat do u ppl do? music or no music?!

Talking Keep the volume low, and let the work load flow.

Sorry to say but, MUSIC all the way!

Theres just so much good music about though! It's the only way to get a substantial dose of bands like the White Stripes and The Vines!!!

Seriously, I think providing it's nothing too heavy ie Slipknott - if you can even call them 'music.' Keep the volume low, I personally think it helps, for reasons you've all ready mentioned.

Perhaps before the exams, when you need to get in alot, fast; switch it off.

But, as always 'everyones different.' You might be able to work and concentrate with music others may not.

TV on the other hand, just NO!
I am the king of Italy!- Only pretend though.

Definate yes to music CDs tapes mp3s etc. However i would say no to the radio e.g chart shows as you'll end up arguing who shoud be number one!

I tend to listen to music or keep the TV on in the background. Music is less distracting though.

I've been using www.last.fm recently - it's a clever little idea that works out what kind of music you like and creates a streaming radio station for you with music you might also like.

Unfortunately it makes it very difficult to revise because it keeps playing stuff I like but don't recognise at all - very distracting
