Yeah Dr Newman....she was sooo nice! She had....I don't know how to describe it, like a relaxing presence.....and she had loads of pink stuff in her office! So we were talking about that.......but I'm so glad I had her interviewing me.....she probably hated me and is in the process of rejecting me now I've said that....hehe

Naw she's really nice. I found her very encouraging in my interview last year, and she even recognised me at the start of this year in DR which was nice. She doesn't seem to hate students like some interviewers!
In Cardiff now - currently despising anatomy.

There's a thread in this forum with lists of questions that people were asked in previous interviews. It might be worth practicing a few of those. And not to be cynical, but the girls should probably prepare for the 'Why a doctor but not a nurse?' question. If you do a non-science subject, be prepared to explain why and how its useful.
Try and relax tonight and tomorrow before the interview. It'll be over before you know it and then out of your hands. Good luck!In Cardiff now - currently despising anatomy.

Cheers guys for the luck....
I happened to be the last one to be intervied, which was delayed for an hour and finally got started at 4:40..... quite a late start.... they were tired..... they didn't looked to impressed, appart from the medical professional (dr Blayney)....I had Dr Savage.... gave me a number of looks.... shall we say not encouraging ones.
WELL I don't know what to expect now. I can never tell how well an interview went. I always look back and say that... Oh why didn't i say that instead of that, would have sounded more convincing.
Well the thing is I can't go back and change it and it's over, so I'm going to go and chill out now.
gtg.
& thanks guys

I wish they asked me that... I had a good answer for that, all they asked me was on my personal statement, but in a twisted kind of way....I prepared loads of ethical stuff, but none were asked.

rejection
Hi,
I just got a rejection from Newcastle and I have to say it's pretty depressing... oh well. When I had my interview at Kings I had loads of ethical stuff and I'm expecting the same at manchester.Hannah
