Who's Coming to Cardiff? Introduce Yourself!
It's the eve of the day you've all been waiting for. Tomorrow morning you'll have the thrill of trembling fingers fumbling to open envelopes or a shaky hand on the mouse as you click onto UCAS Track. Many of you will have achieved your 370 points and will be coming to your firm choice. Some will have just missed the spot and will be using their insurance. A few will even be joining us through clearing. Congratulations to you all!
Let us know what happens and just who is coming to Cardiff this year!
Remember, if you didn't quite make the grade it really isn't the end of the world. There are so many options available to you which mean that you can still be a Cardiff Medic, but you might have to wait another year.
If you're an international student, a graduate, a pre-med or something else you probably already know that you're on your way to Cardiff. Post your introductions here and say "Hi!" to your new classmates!

Just gone on UCAS track and it says I'm in!!!! No word of the actual results though, and the site keeps crashing or freezing on me. Guess its a bit overloaded. Go to get my results from the school at 11am, I'll post again later.
Hi everyone! Did anyone see a girl called Jane from Birmingham on BBC Breakfast news at about 7 this morning? She opened her results on air and is going to Cardiff to study medicine. In Cardiff now - currently despising anatomy.

*jumps up and down with hand in the air* Me! I'm coming to Cardiff! I just got a place through clearing, I can't believe it. I wasn't expecting this at all so I'm completely unprepared for uni, so please feel free to shower me with helpful advice about...everything. I have to go fill out loooots of forms now, but before I do I just want to say !THANK YOU! to all the current students and everyone else on this little sub-forum who've been so helpful this year, you guys are awesome. Good luck everyone else!

Well done, guys!!! You've done an awesome job on getting in. Let me congratulate you on becoming official Cardiff Medics!
You'll start moving in five weeks today and five weeks Monday you'll be enrolling, enjoying an introductory lecture and a tour around the School of Biosciences with your buddy families. In the evening, I hope that you will ALL be joining us at our very own MedClub on Heath Park Campus for the legendary, the infamous, the downright dirtiest, "Back to School Night"! So remember to bring your old school tie, naughty prefect badges and your shortest skirt... the new schoolboys and schoolgirls have a lot to learn!

Should we be getting the booklist and freshers' info soon? I've had nothing from the uni itself yet, but I can't wait to start properly planning!
In Cardiff now - currently despising anatomy.
