Heath Park Campus
I just got a booklet today about the different Halls of Residence available, and some are placed nearer to the hospital than others. Are they better for med students then, or is your time divided between the main campus and heath park campus?
Plus if any of the med students here had a particularly good/bad experience with a particular hall I'd be grateful if you'd share. I'm really not sure what to think of all the Halls because they mostly have the same basics, and that's all you need. I'm thinking more of location and additional facilities. I was surprised that so many were self-catered, though I think I would prefer self-catered anyway.
Thanks! In Cardiff now - currently despising anatomy.

You spend all your time (barring a few days for "professional awareness" and clinical demos, which probably amount to about 5 days in total!) at the Cathays park campus (main campus). Therefore your halls can be anywhere you like. A lot of medics choose either Talybont (best site for halls) or uni hall.

Gray, I think a flick through the existing thread on accomodation might be helpful to you:

I was in Talybont and had a wicked time. Like I've said before, almost everyone has a great time wherever they stay.

I'm not sure about that. I remember ranking all of the halls. The chances are that you'll probably get a place in Talybont. It might be worth contacting Residences to get them to check with them or get them to send you another form and disregard the other.
