just a quick question:
you know if you apply for a single sex flat, is that likely to disadvantage your chances of getting your first choice accommodation?i rang up the residences office today and they weren't very helpful, so any advice would be great

There are so many variables it's impossible to tell. Just list your favourites and hope for the best. There is flexibility in the system to move in the first month or so if you're unhappy.

to those in UK, when will your Cambridge A Level results be known????
i asked my college and they said that the soft copy will be out early august. eeks! that's 3 and a half weeks from today!

What do you mean 'Cambridge A Levels'? A-Levels? We get the results on the 18th August, which is over a month away still. I heard a rumour from last year though, that you can check on UCAStrack the night before and it will tell you if you got into your course or not. Won't tell you the grades you got, just if you met your offer or not. The schools get the results the day before.

oh, well, A levels is a general term and i think that there are more than one type in my country..

hmm...it's still on the 18th huh...cuz i thought that the results would be known to the college much earlier..about a week or so.. =)

hehe, no you weren't. aargh, 3 weeks to go..wonder when will the accomodation be confirmed-provided, the conditional offer is met. haha

it will probably get to you a couple of days after results come out, that's what happened last year for my pre-med year. hope to see everyone in sept!! jo :-)
