The Decisions are coming! The Decisions are coming!!!
As you gathered from the title, the decisions shall, in fact, be here soon.
I phoned them today and the <<mumbed insults>> informed me that I had been rejected - bless her little cotton socks!!!
She didn't tell me why (Untill told otherwise I'm going to presume that it's because they realised they had too many people left to interview and just decided to reject them all) - as you can see I am not bitter in the slightest.
Right, so thats...hmmm... five monthsish it's taken them to look at a ucas form.
Anyway, I apologise for my bitter attitude and I wish all of you the best of luck with your applications.

that's rude, i thought they weren't making any decisions till they'd interviewed everyone they wanted to.
sorry to hear about your application though!

What the hell are Cardiff playing at now? They keep saying how they will tell everyone at the same time after all interviews, but now they are telling people over the phone?
The only logical explanation I can see is that a load of decisions have recently been sent off to UCAS, but that UCAS just haven't sorted through them yet. If that is the case fingers crossed.
Is this whole shambles making anyone else think twice about Cardiff? It's hardly an advertisment for their organised and thoughtful ways.Bristol 05 :-)

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, and I'm sorry that you ave been rejected but I pretty confident they haven't taken five months to just look at your UCAS form then reject you. Most medical admissions have protocols in place so if a form is to be rejected its checked by two people at the very least, for your benefit. Things take time and admissions people are busy. You have applied to medicine, you just have to deal with how long it takes for them to assess everything as fast as they possibly can do. Also, entry into medicine is the easy bit, staying on the course and progessing through postgraduate study is far harder.
Good luck with your remaining places.Dr Jake

Ironic - plenty of med students i've spoken to say that getting in is the hardest bit.
