99% UMS from AS-Level Mathematics.
So I need 81% UMS from A2-Level to average the 90% overall needed for an A*. (And yes, I phoned the exam board and it works like that >.<)
And then 81% is an A-Grade.
Same with other two A-Levels. Got 96% in AS-Level, so need 64% in A2-Level to average the 80% UMS needed for an A-Grade.Last edited by magpie7; 09-01-2010 at 09:39 PM.

Yes, but also the questions get harder (apparently)... With "Stretch and Challenge" questions being introduced this year (although I was flamed for saying this before xD Just phone up OCR.)
So to get an A* you need 90% UMS overall, with the "Stretch and Challenge" questions also being included in your course. (They wanted 90%+ to be harder to get than it is now... They don't want a load of people getting the A* grade... That defeats the point of introducing it!)2010 entry:

The specifications published by the examboards say it doesn't work like that. I'd play it safe and aim to get over 90% in your exams this year.

(I think it's more likely a person working at the phonedesk at the examboard got it wrong, than the specifications published by the people who actually set the papers and know how it all works etc)

A* is 80% overall with 90% in the A2 units. With maths the only A2 units that count are C3 and C4, so its 180/200 for those two
2010 Entry: Kings College London
A levels - A*A*A*A*A
UkCAT - 732.5
BMAT - 8.3 6.7 10.5
