    Congratulations dude
You're the first one for Hughes Hall that I've seen has heard anything... it's making my wait even more torturous, as I was just thinking that Hughes Hall were being slower than the other colleges. If they've already started dishing out interviews then that makes me very nervous that they've not got back to me at all.

WELL DONE guys (00febiva, Cupcake and JBC)!!! That's excellent news .

I'm so sorry to hear about the other guys who got unfavourable outcomes. I'm certain this year is a LOT more competitive as "the times" are encouraging people to get back into education and all sorts meaning there's fierce competition- which there always has been but I think there's a lot more fierce competitors out there.

Chwirkytheappleboy, funny name . All the best when you receive your letter/e-mail!!

    Hey guys,

I just got my letter today. I got rejected too ! Ah sure, it's not meant to be. Better luck next time hey. So now I'm down to three options but I feel like I should go out there, get hands on experience and apply again next year for 2011 entry. Hhhhm, sigh. Shall see how it goes.

All the best to all with interviews and let us know how they go

Oh no... I'm so sorry guys.

This is why I dislike the university application process the most. Cus you'll be doing it with loads of lovely people and everyone will be getting rejected left and right (myself included) and then people who have interviews/offers feel that they're trading blood diamonds...

    *sigh*

chip up everyone! several more to go!
    xx

Well done to all you who've got an interview. I got my rejection on Monday, but It's quite good that at least the wait is over. Still not heard anything from King's and Newcastle GEP.

Admissions at Hughes Hall said that the competition this year was "particularly intense", so I guess it makes it even more sweet for those of you who eventually get in.

    Good luck anyway

^I was rejected too - but with Cambridge they do it with class. No form letter here, no sir, embossed, headed, and hand-signed. *Almost* made me feel OK about the rejection. I think I will ask for feedback tho: weird that during my decidedly dodgy second year (all 2.2 marks) I was shortlisted for interview, yet with a 2.1 BSc and an MSc and great experience I can't get one! So would be nice to see, as if other places don't work out an I have to re-apply it will be nice to know where I went wrong.

Also - if they have a waiting list, are you just kept on hold or do they reject you and tell you later if you have a waiting list place if spaces open up?

Well done to all you others who got interviews, may the force be with you!

Hey! How have other people found the interviews? I had mine earlier this week and it felt like I was in a time warp with it going by so quickly! They were really nice but I guess they were pressed for time since it felt as though they were continuously moving me onto the next question! Also, I keep going over disjointed, random points I feel like I didn't formulate well and improving on them. I don't know why, it's not like I can change anything now! Ah, the waiting begins!
