Official Decisions Stats - Entry 2008
You guys already started talking for many pages on the other threads!!
It's up to you guys, but we can just put stats here and discuss in the other threads, maybe in Offers/Decisions thread

Decision : Rejected/Offer/Pool
College :
GCSEs :
AS/A2 :
BMAT :
Initial Prediction :
Comments :
Good luck!!
No filling in until you get the verdict!!!!
--------------------------------------------------
And I want to sneak in a message first, because I will be waking up at some late ungodly hour tomorrow (I'm nocturnal). And I know my verdict.
So first of all, heartily congrats on those who succeeded!
It would have been great to come across such intelligent people like you guys (offered and rejected) if I got into Cambridge. Such great influences you guys would be to a lazy person like me. Oh well! It's not meant to be! I wish you all the best with the future, intense stress(!!) and workload....however truly rewarding results!
And to fellow rejected - we did well and tried at least! Experience was once in a life time, and a good one it has been. But ha~ at least we get clinical contact in the first 3 years of our medical course in a diff medical school! We will have "better" communication skills. We won't be stuck in lectures. We'll have good clubs/bars nearby to go to. If we are in a 5 year course, we will become a GP or consultant quicker! And if we fail to get a placement after graduating (reffering to MTAs fiasco), we can try again next year, and we still wouldn't be behind the Oxbridgians.
=D
To those pooled : Thank god it's not me. (hehe) Good luck!!
And to ALL : Let's get our 3As (or more...)!Last edited by conservativepassion; 09-01-2008 at 10:55 PM.

If we have all of those in each post, won't it get a little long?
Maybe you just update the first one totting it up.
Or, if you're too lazy (lazy genius? sounds cambridge material to me
) i'll use this 2nd post as a placeholder and mock up the stats here, with piecharts and correlations and such, ill be bored enough with revision to boot up excel.
Fresher medic*, doesn't know any medicine. Slight issue.¬
*Now 2nd Year.

1.Decision : Rejected
College : King's
GCSEs : 7A* 5A
AS/A2 : AS: Chem A, Biol A, Maths A, History A. 4A predicted for A2.
BMAT : 5.6, 4.7, 10.5
Initial Prediction : (that i would be rejected??)
Comments : not surprised really, and started to have my doubts about Cambridge having been there for interview.
2.Decision : Offer
College : Clare
GCSEs : 9A* 1A
AS/A2 : AS: Chem A, Bio A, Maths A, Physics A. Predicted A in Bio, Chem. and Physics at A2
BMAT : 7.3, 6.5, 10.5
Initial Prediction : I thought the interview went OK. I got the impression that in my first interview the interviewers were trying to be less supportive of me and my answers, whereas in the second they were generally being more friendly and giving more hints.
Comments : I'm really happy about it. To be honest, going to the college open day was really useful, as they went through past interview questions and interview technique. Plus it gives you a chance to meet your interviewer ahead of the interview.2008 entry:
Cambridge (Clare) : AAA
UCL : AAB
St. Andrews : Interviewed
Imperial : Confirmation
