Admission Procedure
what is the role of the general admission tutor for Cambridge medical school? for example, i know that imperial collge's admission tutor is prof.laycock and he's involved in most of the selection process. Since cambridge has colleges, is it the responsibility of various admission tutors of EACH college, to accept/reject applicants, and not the responsiblity of the dean of admissions? I dont get it... can anyone explain?

As far as I'm aware, the central admissions office is tiny and its main role is to deal with open applications and the pooling system. They also deal with general enquiries and send people to give lectures in schools. That seems to be the extent of their role though. Everything else is dealt with by the college admissions tutors.
