    BMAT Results and interview

I got relatively low BMAT results but Churchill College offered me an interview. Did they receive the results before they called me? Do I have a chance of getting in if I do really well during interview. I got a 5.8 in BMAT 2 a 6.0 in BMAT 3 but didnt do well in BMAT 1 (an embarrassing 2.3, paniced alot and couldnt think!!!).

I've been told Cambridge got our BMAT results last Thursday so if you recieved your interview after that they'd probably seen your scores when they offered.

I'm sure you still have a chance! Cambridge interview most applicants because they obviously think people who don't look good on paper can still impress at interview. They wouldn't have that policy if they were going to automatically reject people on their BMAT scores.

Besides, your BMAT 2 score is really good. That's got to count for something as Cambridge are looking for applicants strong in science, which you obviously are!

    Good Luck

Thank you bryony, that really helped!! I am travelling all the way from Dubai, I was having second thoughts but I'll make my way now that I am more confident.

    Thanks again and good luck

    Which college did you apply?

    Glad to help!

Woah that's a long way to come! But it'll be worth it - if you didn't you'd be wondering all your life what might've happened and you've definitely still got a good chance!
I've applied for King's - my interviews on the 9th December. When's yours?

Interesting choice. I made an open application, didnt mind the College, went with my luck! My interview is set on the 12th. I have asked to stay overnight, Ill be spending the rest of the week in London. UCL couldnt offer me an interview during the week and they dont make offers without interviews, I've still got to hear from Imperial and King's. What time is your interview? Are you staying overnight?

Why do you say interesting choice?! Actually, I think I know why - because of it's communist reputation perhaps?
Well, I'm not a communist, but I like that it's quite a leftie college! And I also liked the central location, the fact that there are self-catering facilities, and the good reputation of it's bars and coffee shop! lol

My interviews are at 2.30 and 3.30. I'm not staying overnight because I can make it there and back in a day.

Have you been to England before then?

Yes I have been to England before. I spent a year in London last year for my AS levels. Now that my family are staying in Dubai I am making the most out of it by spending the year in Dubai for my A2's. I'm originally from Jerusalem, Israel. They havnet got any good A level schools over there thats why I went to London in the first place. Whereabouts in England do you live?

For the bmat cambridega are most interested in the section 2 score, then the section 1 score and least of all the section 3 score.

When you look at you Bmat results take them with a pinch of salt paying particular interest to the scince section.
