what i do not know is how they rank the interview and how much it is worth
Thanks for your help, you've been great.
I hope your application to St Andrews is successful, and the same goes for everyone else!

I got an offer last week after having an interview in December, average of 720 UKCAT. St Andrews was also the only uni to give me an offer, though it was my first choice to begin with so I'm really pleased!

I have an avg of 638 for ukcat. how do i get an awesome ps. do i need to specify the number of weeks with the hospital and voluntary work etc.

I am a bit worried about my volunteer work. I have been going to a care home for over 6 months and did a stint at a charity shop. is this enough though?.

    thanks!

It's not about the quantity of experience you got. It's about what you experienced and learned from it. My suggestion is you write a few drafts of your PS, there are PS helpers over on thestudentroom.co.uk who will be able to give you some pointers.

Yeah if you just list your experiences then it will get you nowhere. You have to talk about yourself and how you have evolved as a person. The medical profession is huge on "reflection" these days so if you can show that you are one of the people who does this on a normal basis then you will look a lot more desirable to the entrance people.

UKCAT hardly matters, just make sure your personal statement is great and if you get an interview make them love you!
I absolutely loved my interview at St Andrew's! I had the nicest interviewers ever, so nice I didn't even feel nervous (which for me is saying something!)

So I wouldn't worry too much about UKCAT!
