Well I'm sitting here waiting for my pre-interview rejection, since there's only one date left! I'm going to phone them tomorrow and ask if they're planning on adding any more interview dates, I'm tired of waiting around so long!!!

I know somebody who went to Bristol med school. A while ago he received the alumnus magazine which
had a section on selecting applicants to interview. He told me that apparently they look for evidence of
achievement, though I am not too sure what sort of achievement.

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that it has to be examples of achievement other than just exams or other 'expected' things. Duke of Edinburgh, First Aid awards, cookery course certificate, George Cross etc. etc.
I think Bristol are relatively unique in that they give you a *very* clear brief of exactly what they are looking for. There are, I think, about 6 sections that they give up to 4 marks in each. Just go and have a look at their website to find out. Your task is then to make sure you cover off all of these elements while also winding them all together in a coherent narrative that tells them something about you as a person (as opposed to a giving them a list of attributes and achievements).
Good luck!--
Second year at Bristol and *loving* it.
