I might apply to Bristol, I know though that they are very P.S orientated when it comes to admissions process and my P.S didn't cut it with them last year as I was rejected pre-interview

I'm applying to Bristol as an international student. I have average UKCAT, decent grades, an outstanding PS and about 15 years experience in healthcare here (including the last 5 years as a registered nurse--3 in research and most currently at a level 1 trauma center). I'm hoping the experience goes a long way to earning me one of the few spots they allot to overseas applicants. Not to mention I'm a "mature" overseas applicant...the cards seem to be stacked against me! Here's hoping...

Do you know if you need to send transcripts in the same time you submit you PS?

I don't know if I have to, but I'm going to. I'm submitting them directly to the programs I'm applying to after I get them back from NARIC. I'm also probably going to have to submit a CV, I'm assuming anyways.

DO you have to submit your transcript to NARIC? I was a biology major?

Well, see, I don't know. And I haven't gotten a straight answer from anyone except when I tried to apply to KCL for my graduate nursing degree. They recommended it, but that was a nursing program.
The problem is, that I have an associates in nursing, but 120 credit hours at junior college in sciences because I changed my major from biotech to nursing. And my academic career spans 12 years or so. So I figure the more help I can give myself the better--I've done NARIC because at some point I'll probably be asked about my grades and I don't know how my course work stacks up until they complete my assessment.
At first I was a bit hesitant to apply to any medicine program--in part because I'm alot more "mature" than most applicants, but also because I have such a crazy background. I'm applying to Bristol because I've read that they are a bit more liberal with...non-traditional applicants. All of my choices have been more or less based on that premise.
So I guess long story longer (lol), I don't really know. I don't think you do--I think they do it for you if there is a question, but if you got your bachelors degree from anywhere other than, say, university of phoenix online, you're fine (not that that's where mine is from, mind

CmatteRN, Thanks for the heads up. Also, I was wondering does Bristol require applicants to send their transcripts during the same time you submit your UCAS application? And as a mature student, like both of us, do we need two letters of recommendations as well as a letter explaining why we didn't apply earlier? Thanks for your reply.
