I've just got in! Also help with registration process please

So yeh, this is a huge shock!

Applied for medicine nearly a year ago, with Bristol being my definite first choice (local and love the area etc...). Was really disappointed when I had a rejection from Bristol without interview and being rejected from all other medical schools didn't help (had 2 interviews but basically their not my strong point). So my 5th choice was physiology at Bristol and had accepted after the rejections that I would be taking up this offer. Carried on working on my a-levels and just got on with it really, That is until a week ago!

Had a phone call saying that i was being invited for a interview next week for a potential place on the medicine course. So by this time I'm in shock, didn't ask any questions and just starting preparing for the interview. I didn't get my hopes us after other rejections and knew that interview was my weakness. Just turned up for the interview and tried my best without any expectations.
Get a phone call the next day that they would like to give me the place...I'm still thinking this is a prank.

Anyway, this is on Friday so talk about cutting it close. At the interview they revealed that they hadn't filled their target number of places and i assume its because i was due to take up the place at Bristol for physiology that it would be a relatively easy transfer (Its not as if they are taking me out of another university).

I am so happy! It couldn't have worked out any better. Strange thing is, if i had received an interview and offer the normal way I wouldn't have got in as didn't receive the A in chemistry (Came sooo close!) so this is a bit of a miracle!

Have had the registration pack through today, and wanted to check with other medicine freshers if ive got the right idea (Can't ring up the office until monday)...
Ive got the crimincal records check and medical questionaiire todo (although i doubt i could get my doctors input on the form in one day so i'll have to explain this)

But with physiology i had to register online? Did you have to do this aswell...? Ive gone through with the registration on-line as the deadline was this sunday (tomorrow) and thought i'd rather do it than not...although my course is still listed as the physiology.

So im going to give them a ring monday and go along to the university registration on Tuesday (Which is for all students?) Then we've got the intro lectures on tuesday afternoon.
Just need to check i havent missed anything major as its all a bit last minute (not that I mind!). Should i have had some immunisation before coming because its unlikely i will have the chance now before starting.
Anyway any help of what you have done / needed to do so far just as a form of checklist would be really helpful.

For those who received rejections, its probably over and done with this year but never give up as look at me, its been turned around completely in the last possible week.

    Thanks

This is such an amazing story. It's like watching a movie with a happy ending..You must be so happy. I think ur story will give hope to those who've been unsuccessful this year. You'll get in if u've been destined to be a medical student however , the road might be bumpy. Wish u all the best and i'm sure u'll enjoy your first year as a Bristol medic.
