Hi guys, they asked me in October for mine and I had to to reorder it from my uni and sent it to them in early November. They said it was 'all good and well people getting a first or a 2.1 but we need to check that you have been consistent throughout your degree'. What a load of bs! I've never heard something so ridiculous from any of the unis. They said the other unis would be asking me for it too...erm...no! No other uni has asked me for a transcript let alone for that reason, not with a Biomed degree! Stupid Holly Huth at admissions! Consistency...rules me out then! :s

How do u think its best to send transcripts? Was thinking fax? Im just worried that any slight delay puts u at some disadvantage because from experience any time a uni asks for anything I get rejected later!!! Dont know if its cuz im rubbish or get put to one side then they get lazy and decide to reject u just because its a bit of hassle!!!

hey guys - I got that email yesterday aswell! I thought it was a good sign that they are considering my application but now I can see that it's just the norm lol! I'm in my 3rd year doin biochem, haven't got the best ukcat score and looking at my module results - some are 2:2's - I'm now REALLY scared about whether this will not be in my favour despite my prediction for a 2:1. Any advice/ reassurance would be greatly appreciated

I have not had an email, but then my degree was in an arts subject.

I wonder if they are asking BioMed/Sci etc. as it forms part of the subject knowledge requirements and they need to check you covered all they need to not be looking at AS/A-level Biology and Chemistry.

    Hey fivefour,
I would assume that having some 2.2's is okay, they say they accept a 2.1 so i cant imagine they expect everyone to get a mark bang slap between 60-70%.

I believe it would be more logical to assume that they are looking for evidence that you will achieve your predicted grade, and that you have covered appropriate modules.

Keep your chin up, dont panic yet!

    i agree with jen2010!
in addition, they can't expect applicants to have achieved or are going to achive an ABNORMALLY high first, when they have specified they require a minimum of a 2.1. Technically, they should brace themselves as the majority of applicant (only assuming) will have achieved or are expected to achieve a 2.1.. so don't worry about it yet!! :~) you'll be fine!! good luck!!
