    Muffin,
Sorry you have no news yet either. I felt it went ok, i held my own at least. THe questions were unrelenting-no easy ones- but i think i managed to answer everything. I'm not sure why it was so tough though, they defo wanted to see me sweat! maybe its a good sign, then again maybe not....eitherway, i'll find out in a couple of weeks. Everyone else seemed to enjoy theirs more, but then you can never really tell from what people say- i'm just comparing mine to previous interviews and its no doubt the toughest so far. Mind you, if i do get an offer at least i can rest in the knowledge that i worked damn hard for it!!

My academic record is ok, not brilliant though, It's my personal statement and ref thats got me the interviews without a doubt.
Apparently we should hear from UEA quite soon, not sure exactly but their last interviews are next week so soon after then....eek!!
I really really hope you hear soon from BSMS. Have you heard from your other choices (besides UEA)

nope. i havent heard from any! how rubbish is that?! uea are supposed to contact us in the first(ish) week of march......

Sorry about that Muffin, the whole admissions thing seems totally arbitrary and unfair.
You still have plenty of time to recieve good news though. I just got my first rejection today so i'm feeling sorry for myself! But it certainly reinforces that no news is good!

I got my first rejection today too, and it's made me a hell of a lot more nervous and a lot less confident about the outcome of my BSMS interview The wait is killing me!

Coming out of the interview I felt quite positive and like it had gone quite well, but as more and more time goes on I'm beginning to dissect it and pick out everything that wasn't perfect, and am seriously doubting the initial positivity. Which is just silly really, should probably stick to gut instincts.

When they say "early March", do you reckon we'll hear on the 1st March, or in the first couple of weeks?

Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear, hope you're more patient and coping with it better than I am!

Yeah i know what you mean about dissecting the interview. Mine was ok, i found it very hard and i was really pushed. In fact i was expecting a rather informal relaxed interview but got a relentless bombardment of terribly difficult questions!!! Boo!!! I think i held it together generally, though i think i repeated myself a couple of times, and i don't just mean over the course of the interview i mean during one question where i'd answer it and then start as though saying more then changing my mind and repeating what i just said!!! This happened twice i think so i'm a bit embarressed about that!! But other than that it was ok. It's such an alien situation, i hope they allow for a few cockups!
The interviewers themselves were really nice, i think they just wanted to test me to my limits and they were smiling at the end....not sure if thats good! Maybe they were laughing at me!!! lol

I think that the last interviews are on the 24th, so i am optimistically hoping to hear very early march! however,i looked on threads from last year and it seems that the admissions staff had a meeting about it around the 10th march, or thereabouts, so no one heard until after then.

im getting impatient too. i just want to know from everywhere, so i can start planning my life. mine was really hard too, and i hope they do allow for a few slip ups. i was just so nervous and i just totally didnt answer a couple of questions when i should have been able to. yea i think they were pushing to see your limits. hopefully i showed i did have knowledge and interest in medical issues. i guess noone can know everything having not studied medicine yet?? boo hoo.

but doesn't it depress you when you see the 2008 applicants start to join the forums? and the 2008 re-applicant thread start up.... without having 2007 done and dusted?

I'm waiting to hear from 2 unis after interview and the wait is getting frustrating even though i have an offer. I really want to know either way. I've still got another interview to go though so i'm trying to focus on that and studying at the minute. Even so i can't help checking track every time i get online. Sad i Know!

Well, good luck to everyone whos waiting.....fingers crossed!

well done on your Soton offer... they appear to be like gold-dust this year by all accounts...
I checked the other threads and some people didn't hear until May, and then suddenly got an offer! I will be well into my gap year plans by then...
maybe this is what they test, can you get through you exams and stuff and cope with the admissions process?
