BSMS Interview dates
Hi every1!!!
Speaking to the admissions tutor on the phone lately, at BSMS, I found out that the interviews are only held either in November or February, no-one will get an interview between these 2 months. The November interviews have already started, but in February the date of interviews will be between 3rd Feb till 24th Feb. The interviews are held on wednesdays and saturdays only.
I advise all of you who have applied to BSMS to make sure you are here in London on these dates. I have also applied to BSMS, and now I have a slight problem. I will be away from the 2nd Feb to the 24th feb, out of country due to family reasons. So this means that if I don't get an interview during this month, then I shall forget about BSMS, because speaking to them on the phone, they told me that you cannot get any interviews after february, and if your away ur automatically rejected. There will be no considerations made for those away, even if it may be for family emergencies. In my personal opinion this is a very silly policy, because anything can happen to any1 during this interview period time, they might have an operation or something, so will this mean that they will be automatically rejected, well I'm not really complaining in my case, cause its not really a family emergency, but only an family event, however it can happen to other people.
Anyways GOOD LUCK for all of you who have applied to BSMS, and try your very best to be available for the November and February.
Sorry for this long essay, lol!!!

Thats a shame, if the admissions department has told you this then I suppose it must be true. I think you will find that with most medical schools if you can't make an interview they will do their best to rearrange it, in my case I had to rearrange two due to a ski trip. However if you are away then there isn't really a date after feb that they can offer you if there aren't going to be any more days. It is a shame

So if your not fussed, why did you apply? What sort of family event is it? Won't they understand if you say its med school interviews? its just, your shooting yourself in the foot on one of your 4 options just by this and BSMS is fantastic, it would be a shame if you didn't give yourself the full chance to get in

Do you know how upset I was to find out about this. I applied to BSMS because I want to get in, not cause I had an extra choice or something. Butg all this ticket booking happened before I found out about BSMS. And if I do get an interview, I will come back to london, or go after, but still hoping that I get it this month.
