    Please Answer

Hi I am new here and I joined because I have some questions to ask:-

I am 17 years old but my reading age is about 10 so I am very limited in my vocabulary. I am also dylexic so I am slow and bad at writing. Would this be taken into account when doing the BMAT? My GCSE's were affected by these problems as well and unfortunately (from what I can see on this forum) my grades aren't very good.

So can someone please tell me what the average grades of people applying to medicine are? And anyone who has got into UCL or Oxbridge or Southampton can you please tell me what your GCSE and A level results were?

And question number two is will my writing and reading skills affect me when doing the BMAT?

(Sorry if any of this is difficult to read, I will try to explain it better if you point out what you don't understand).

New to the forum, or just new account?

To answer question 2 first - yes.

To answer the second question. I would suggest you contact the universities in question and ask. You can get an indication from looking at people’s sigs here, but you need to talk to the uni's.

to get any form of dispensation you would need to have an assessment by an appropriately qualified and registered assessor.

However looking at your post, you don’t seem to have the vocabulary and sentence construction of a 10 year old.

Also why BMAT? There are plenty of places you can apply to without BMAT. Why make it harder?

Why do you want to be a doctor? Why Oxford or Cambridge if you are worried about you academics?

    What are your academics results?
