haha yea same! i thought i did superb in section 2 and **** in sec 1
considering i guessed 14 q's in sec 1 and guessed 3 q's in sec 2
and i just plainly suck at essays :P

Not too happy with my results =/

That's 17.2 total. *fingers crossed* but chances seem bleak.

But your total score is probably slightly above average. I'm not so sure about Imperial's setting a 'minimum score' for sections 1 and 2. If I'm not mistaken, the cut-off point for interview at Imperial is 16.0. Goos luck!

While I hope I get an interview - I don't expect one.
It will actually be a huge surprise if I get one from Imperial or UCL...

My score is above average - but they require 'high scores in all section' which I clearly lack!

I think you can be mistaken about the cut-off. Is there anybody more knowledgeable?

There is no 'official' cut-off on Imperial's part

The unofficial standard is 19.0, however, you need at least 50% in all sections to be even considered - that is what I have heard at least - you do hear of ppl getting in with low BMAT scores as well.

Don't worry guys, there are plenty of ppl getting 16s and got in! =) I remember making a thread about BMAT a while ago..(in the BMAT section..somewhere...I will dig it out when I can) and I can assure you that even if you got 4 in sec1 or 2, there will still be a chance.

I think the "safe boundary" for imperial is something like 4.5, 4.5, 7.5(or 9) but it doesn't mean you can't get in with less score in certain sections! =)
