The Weekend

Posted 04-08-2008 at 03:49 AM by MCStott
Well, been up to Newcastle for the weekend to sort out my house and get things organised for September 1st! Was interesting! I had my first experience (despite living in the city for 2 years) of a Saturday night in Bigg Market…to make it worse we went to the Bam Raz (Blu Bambu!). It felt like Newcastle but not like I know it, and for once I felt like a visitor instead of a resident! I can’t believe how different it is when it isn’t a student night!

Other than that, saw my mates...

I was just wondering, does the UKCAT change from day to day or do all the applicants sit the same test?:

New house!

Yesterday I moved out of my beloved old house in West Jesmond and moved into the new one, also in West Jesmond, but across the Metro line because it’s cheaper. I’m afraid to say, it’s not half as good as my old house.

So the new house has a bigger kitchen, minus any appliances such as even a kettle, so that’s something to buy. No pans or mugs or glasses or plates or anything. On the plus side, there is a dishwasher that I didn’t know about! The bathroom isn’t as good as the old one,...

Summer

Well its probably half way through the holidays now (6 weeks before the new semester starts). Wish I had gone to some far off land like most of my friends but, quite frankly, I can’t really afford it, and thought I’d save my money to spend on the elective. I’ll already be in about £40, 000 debt as it is!

Today I passed my PADI Open Water Diver course and my Dry Suit Diver Speciality course. Diving is a new found love of mine and it is absolutely amazing. I hope to go to Australia...
