Birmingham Medical School vs. Leicester Medical school

I'm a Canadian student in my senior year, trying to make a firm choice between Birmingham and Leicester. I seem to get mixed reviews from people I talk to and I was hoping to get some external input from others. I understand that Leicester is very hands on and experience based, while Birmingham is more internationally recognized with better access to different hospitals. What's the better pick? Which would be a better choice if I plan to return to Canada to do my residency? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

It doesn't matter where you graduate from, you will still have to do your canadian exams. You may be better off writing the USMLE and doing ur residency in the states.
From my Birmingham experience, the course is academically heavy and prepares you well for the USMLE, with a bit extra study (I'm in my Year 4 now and my step 1 is in 2 months, so this is from experience).

Birmingham is very hands-on. We go to GP clinics once every 2 weeks from Year 1, have a mini hospital preparation course in Year 2, and from Year 3 onwards its all hospitals fulltime (with on-call rota attachments - so you can do some nights if u want).

PS: We have so many canadians here, there are 8 in my year (granted thats only like 2%, but still, more than any other nationality.)
