    Chances for Birmingham?

I'm new to this forum and I'm just starting to fill in my UCAS application for 2011 entry. I'm going to take my UKCAT tomorrow in Beijing and am hoping for the best!

So I'm a final year double-degree student due to graduate with a 2:1 hons in biomedical science and a non-hons bachelor degree in Chinese medicine. I have a full 2 years worth of experience interning in a hospital in Beijing and have done significant clinical work including routine gynaecological examinations, ECG, surgical assistance, post-surgery care, etc...

I intend to apply to Southampton GEM, Warwick GEM, Liverpool A100 and Birmingham A100, knowing that Liverpool and Birmingham both don't require UKCAT. Anyone can advise whether my choices are wise and if I have any realistic chances of getting an interview at Birmingham with a 2:i hons?

Potentially. You definitely cannot get on the GEC course for Birmingham because they want a first. For the A100, you may potentially be given a conditional offer for your 2:1 (unless you already have a 2:1 which increases your chances significantly) - Now in here, they tend to favour UK/Birmingham 2:1s, so I dont know how your chinese qualification will compare against them. If your degree is a UK degree, then you have a chance, but it is unknown how good a chance, they still look at A Levels.
