£180 test to apply...?
Ive heard that to apply for Birmingham medical school you have to do a test that is not UKCAT or BMAT but is one particular to Birmingham and costs around £180(?).
I'd like to know if this is correct and if so, what it consists of.
Thanks, ellie

Lol I think that's an urban myth. You don't have to sit any entrance exams just need to meet there requirements (GSCE ones being the elephant in the room) and then theyll invite you to an interview. At my interview they did give us a little question (was on the sciences and maths) but they said that would not have any effect on my chances.
The latter half of that statement may be different know but as far as I am aware there has been no changes within the past 5-6 months reg any entrance exams so you can relaxBirmingham - Interviewed - Conditional Offer-FIRM
Edinburgh - Conditional Offer-INSURANCE
SGUL- Interviewed - Conditional Offer
UCL - Interviewed - Rejection
Leicester (Medical Biochemistry) - Unconditional Offer

weirdddd, all my friends are talking about it. its like "i dont want to go to birmingham, im not rich."
thanks a lot, youve calmed me down. i mean i would have been glad to pay it anyway but saving £180 is definitely a positive thing (and also saving revision!
)
again, thanks a lot

This is completely untrue - there's no such thing. Birmingham does not require any entrance exam, so no BMAT, no UKCAT, or others.
