hahahahaha! woah, even with a 660 average, you were below the threshold? they ARE mean! same with me mate; it seems old Barts rejected me and evicted me from my second home!
onwards and upwards. am i to assume that you will firm Bham? if so, the accommodation open day is on saturday the 24th april. i will defo go along because i have no idea where i want to live and the videos and pictures arent enough; i need to feel if the accommodation is right for me!
anyway, wish you all the best and i think i shall hibernate from NMM for a while (got a new job to start, kitchen to fit, DIY to do, leisurely reading to catch up on etc etc).
its too long to wait for september man!!!!!

Hey,
Does anyone know if all the interviews for the 4yr GEP and 5yr undergrad med course have been given out?
I still haven't heard a peep from them. Is there still hope for me to get an interview invite?

Thats exactly the same as me, haven't heard a thing. Well according to MBS in the other thread there are interviews on March the 3rd and the 15th but those are the only remaining interview dates left for the GEP course, I don't know about the five year UG course though.
I wonder whether they're interviewing the candidates on the 3rd then if they haven't got enough people inviting people for interviews on the 15th. I'm not sure, anyway fingers crossed for the both of us!2010 entry:
Sheffield - interviewed 19/01/10 - rejected
Warwick - interview 23/03/10 - conditional OFFER - FIRM
Nottingham GEM - interview 22/03/10 - waiting list - withdrawn
Birmingham GEM - Rejected
UKCAT average - 695
GAMSAT - 65
A levels - AAA
3rd year Human Physiology student - Predicted 1st

Hi James.lai,
I've got an amended offer too... I think it's because i copied and pasted my uni Prof's reference into my UCAS form and so it's not verified... well that's all I can think of anyway. Is that your situation also?

Yeah KingMuffin,
I was asked to submit in an academic reference (signed and headed blah blah blah)...Does this mean that our offer could be reversed if we get a bad reference? I may have to ring the central admissions people about this...

I was just planning on asking my Prof to send my original reference from my UCAS form to them. Don't panic - everything will be fine! If your original reference was good enough to get you an offer then it will be fine to send off again!

New condition
I spoke to the school yesterday and they said that they missed it off our original conditional offer letter. Basically because we could have written our UCAS reference ourselves they need one on headed paper. I asked if my prof could just cut and paste what he wrote onto my UCAS page onto headed paper and send it to them and she said that was fine - that way he doesn't have to hand write the thing.
Has anyone got any term dates yet?

I need to send an academic reference off too. Apparently it has to come directly from our referee and needs to be on their letter headed paper and needs to be signed by them.
Quoting the admissions office:
JackDear Jack,
Thank you for your email. The reference submitted with your UCAS form is fine but it needs to come straight from your lecturer/tutor on the correct headed paper as the UCAS one is submitted by yourself. I hope this clears matters up?
Kind regards,

Congratulations on your offers.
I'm a current GEC2. I have a spare double room in the house I share with other GEC2 girls. The house is in Harborne (10min walk from MedSchool) and there is lots of street parking.
4 bed house; kitchen diner, separate lounge, two bathrooms. Broadband, cable TV, TV licence, gas, elec, water (all bills) are included in the rent (£82/ week), available form 1st July 2010. The landlady is lovely and reliable- she will discount the rent if you are not living in the house for July and August.
