    muchly appreciated,

Also, Biology at AS must be an A... Imperial don't even ask for that!!! Although yes i realise Imperial are AAA but hmm.. each uni to their own.

    No worries

And Biology AS only has to be at an A if it isn't continued to A2.

Thank you very much guys hope someone can help me!
interesting that you felt it entirely unnecessary to include your motivation for a medical career in that description, but felt that all theat academic shit was important in the place of the most important fings.
    perhaps thats the problem.

btw, macca, i dont fink its about public skool at all.
In fact thats what has allowed you to mek this application.

One of my friends got rejected from birmingham even though she got 7 A*s. They said it was cuz one of her A*s was ICT short course so technically she only got 6 and a half A*s. She was really pissed cuz no one at the open day or in the prospectus sed that short course GCSEs don't count as a whole A*.

well logic tells u that a short course GCSE is only half a GCSE therefore it's only half an A*.......she really should have enquired about it instead of assuming it was ok.

Yeah I agree with Gooner. It's either laziness or foolishness - or infact both - that caused your friend to come out with a rejection, not the university.

I would imagine most universities assume that applicants understand what qualifications they possess...

What crap! The actual hard bit is the interviews, so the people to place and interview to place ratios given should indicate how hard it is. Grades are easy to get if you put the work in.

Infact, take a look-see on here:

Medschoolsonline - Medical Course Guide for School Leavers - Standard Courses

It says that grades aside 1:3 people that apply to birmingham get in. This is WAY below the average.

I love it when people are wrong...

[Also, barts, Edin. and Imperial have higher grades needed]

particulalry crap a statement seeing as the gcses requirements are the easiest part of your application to complete.

in effect they are saying that they are the easiest med skool to get into, which is equally crap.

b'ham really need their 'eads sorting out.
