I know this isnt exactly constructive as im not gearing up for interviews.

Just to say good luck to all people applying to Birmingham (or medical school in general). Have a really good try at preparing for this interview, but remember you still have 3 other choices.
Im sure you will all do well!

Im sure I speak for everyone at Birmingham Med School when I say good luck! :-D

heh, i got a letter through yesterday inviting me for interview on the 22nd... talk about short notice! bit of extra prep time wouldn't have gone amiss, but i guess it's my own fault for sending off my application mid-september... now i have to cram whilst working full time! yay!

what date is your interview, when did you send off your application, and what's the first letter of your last name?

(Just trying to make sense of how Birmingham chronologically calls people for interview)

You will be the first smaller year group...

2009 places: 332
Compared to 386 at the start of my year. In 2010 there will be correspondingly more GEC places so the third year in 2011 will have the same number of students as normal, but a much higher GEC proportion.

Or so I understand

I've just started my gap year, so I already have my A2s. My interview is on wednesday.. getting pretty scared now! My surname is also pretty close to the beginning of the alphabet, but I have no idea whether that makes any difference... good luck everyone!
