Please dnt choose which unis ure going to apply to based on how likely u think ure gona get an interview! Pick the unis for their reputation both academic and non, teaching methods, campus, location, activities that they offer you as well as grade requirements. It is very hard, but go to as many open days as possible to get the feel of the university and to meet ur potential students and tutors. I know birmingham's open day is 26-27 june.
I applied to bham this year with 6A* n 5 As at GCSE ad i got an interview and an offer. Its my firm choice because i found the interview panel friendly and enthusiastic and I thought the campus was exactly what i want. Medicine is a very long course so make sure where you pick is because you like it.

Good luck with ur exams

still hardly worth applying to four BMAT unis if you know you're unlikely to do well in BMAT or to Birmingham if you have less than 5A*... Apply where you like and where you have a reasonable chance of getting in...

i got into cardiff with 6 a*'s and 4a's and dont have grade 8 at an instrument
so i probably only just scraped it
i did take 5 as's though (excl.gen studies) and declared my grades so i guess that mightve made a difference in my favour i dont know

Hey,
i got into Bham for the 2008 entry and i only had 5 A*s, i thought i would giv it a shot as i really liked Bham uni, and i knew they had a requirment of 7A*'s as they say, bt in the prospectus it states minimum 5A*.
The high requirement did put me off, bt u wont now unless u try. if u really want to go there then just go for it, u may have other traits they like from urself an offer u an interview in which case u can show them y u deserve a place there.

For 08 entry, I believe it was 7A*'s and with usual offers being AAB. (Well that was my offer anyway!)

I doubt it'll be 8A*s, but who knows.
