first class and random question

just out of interest. how many people a year end up getting first class degrees in birmingham? do most doctors have a second class degree or 2.1? i dont really understand the percentile or quartile thing-- when everybody in the year is split into four groups depending on their academia. please could someone explain that to me?

For birminhgam is it true most people who graduate end up becoming GPs? Very few students become surgeons?

I believe we have pass and pass with honours not the 2.1/1st system. The quartiles are converted into a score on ur application for FY posts and are weighted so later yrs are given more marks in proportion to earlier years. About proportion becoming GPs, arent majority of Drs all over the UK GPs? Doubt its any different with Bham
