Should I apply?

Due to my GCSE results I wasn't originally thinking of applying to Birmingham (didn't get 7A*):
Chemistry, Physics, Maths - 3A*
Biology, Resistant Materials, R.S., English Language & Literature, History, Art - 7A
French - 1B

However, in my AS I managed to get:
Chemistry, Human Biology, Maths, Physics - AAAA

As a result, I wanted to know if there was any point in applying?

I got 5A* and 1A and 2B's.
In their prospectus 2008 they clearly state that they only require 5A*. but I contacted them just in case to make sure I was not wasting one of my choices, since I heard in here about the minimum 7A*.
I received a reply from the uni which was only 1 line!

"We require a minimum of 7 A* grades at GCSE, and AAA A level predictions."

I guess Bham doesn't like dumb people like me. hehe

don't risk it, there are many excellent unis with more reasonable entry criteria.
