Feedback?
Hi,
Does anyone know if Birmingham give feedback if we write a letter to them? I was just wondering why I wasn't offered an interview so i wanted to write to them..
Thanks,BSc Biology

Writing a letter may give them an excuse to *ahem* accidentally knock it into the waste paper bin! however i would phone them personally.
It is likely to be due to academic requirements, for example you need at least 7A*'s GCSE and to be expected 3A's A-Level. If you satisfied these requirements it may be due to little work experience.
If neither of these then i would suggest a polite phonecall and im sure they will be only too happy to offer an explanation!

I think it is okey to e-mail them. At least I did that and got an answer.

If you send an email, you have definite proof that it was sent, unlike a letter or phone call, but I'm sure it's ok to call. Some universities (e.g. Sheffield) don't even give feedback relevant to you, so it could be worse.

I expect that's because this is just the time when they're dealing with A level results, confirming places and people who missed their grades (which is more urgent) and generally processing the people who are going to go in October.

thanks for the info guys.. I will wait a couple of weeks before I email them. I'm not really in any hurry anyway since I'm going to Barts this September. Just interested because Birmingham was my first choice. oh well
Thanks again.BSc Biology
