Accomodation question
Can someone explain hot the accomodation is allocated at Birmingham. I just filled in the form but it only seems to require preferences for catering and bathroom sharing. Do you get any choice which site you end up on?
Thanks.

i was just thinking the exact same thing!
and also, it says 'indicate your full choice of residence numbered in order of preference from 1 to 5'. well, what if i dont want a catered hall, full stop. even if i put the two catered halls as 4/5, is there a chance i might end up there?
i wonder if any 1st yrs cud help out - what r the chances of ending up in a hall/flat that you indicate as ur top choice on the form? also part C about preferences and compatability seems a lot more bare than some other uni's accomodation forms....Leeds 2006!!!

r u talking about the accommodation form that came with the offer pack? or do you get one after you've sorted out your CRB things?

could you choose which accommodation you wanted on the form or was it just a choice between catered/self catered, contract length etc? if not and there's a particular hall you want to go to, write it in the any other preferences (or what ever it says) bit of the form, same if there's somewhere you really don't want to go!
i don't know what the chances are of ending up somewhere you put as last choice, i know i got to go where i wanted, but strangely enough, i asked for ensuite and didn't get it and some people who didn't ask for it got it....lucky....people!3rd year medical student at brum
