    ok, which is...?
    I've applied to medicine 09 entry,
    and also applying for my masters through a clinical scientist post with nhs to become a clinical biochemist...so therefore i have choices

    Best of luck with the applications :-) I'm a 1st year GEP med student now and I remember just how much time these applications took up last year!
    My PhD was protein folding (biophysics...) and then I worked in international health/development for a bit...Needed a break from folding and unfolding proteins day in day out.
    Clinical biochemist is cool too, I was considering clinical microbiologist (same NHS scheme) at one stage as that allows you to go with doctors without borders to help diagnose infectious diseases abroad etc...So anyway, good luck again!

    Yes i think clinical biochem is a great field of work which i would enjoy if I was unable to get into med school.
    Protein folding eh, i;ve touched on that, obviously not like you will have though, but we've been taught a module on it however basic it is, it seems hard!
    Well done for getting into med! Bet you are loving it!
