So name of job and course.

    Hokay.
As a job, I was to work in a laboratory researching and developing new medicines.
However, after doing hours of research into job titles and university courses i have become confused.

    So can anyone help me?
    I've come up with :
    Biomedicine
    Biochemistry
    Pharmacology

But i want to be a research scientist.
    Any ideas?

    Ty in advance.

It depends what kind of research scientist you would want to be, the areas that interest you and the institute that runs the course but from the sounds of it, all 3 of those courses would be suitable for entry onto a postgraduate programme that could then lead onto research science.

Generally the route would be a 3 year undergraduate BSc (hons) degree something like biochemistry, followed by a 1 year MSc or more commonly a PhD which takes around 3 years. You'll probably at least have the option to start research of some sort in the final year of your BSc as a project and most courses will run labs regularly from the first term of the first year onwards.

edit: I think you can probably go into research science directly with companies like glaxo etc. without having a postgraduate degree, but its not something I know much about.
