CT scans

How do you interpret CT scans (axial slices) - is is looking from feet towards head, or from head to feet? Does the right side on the scan correspong to your right?

CTs and MRIs are presented looking from the patient's feet towards the head - a caudocranial view if you will. The top of the image is anterior and the bottom of the image posterior. So the right side of the physical image in front of you represents the patient's left.

I think the slice image represents as if looking at it from below, but I just wanted to make sure.
