I went to their open day and they said that as long as you pass their minimum entry then, you pass that part of the application so that I'm guessing means no. They don't really regard overly amazing GCSE's. As long as you meet their minimum requirements, you should be fine.

My GCSE's weren't that hot, but I was offered a 5-year place. However I was probably judges as a Graduate, where my degree result was probably more influential.

I went to their open day this september, asked the same question and got the same answer. Apparently pretty much everyone who meets their minimum requirements is invited to interview, and then the rest is decided purely on the basis of your performance at interview.
