Is my UKCAT too low?
Hi

I took my UKCAT today and unfortunately it wasn't as good as I had hoped. Overall I got 600 average, with my lowest being 540 :/ and the others 620, 600 and 640. So not great! Can anyone please advise me if it's worthwhile applying here??? I mean I don't really want to if I stand no chance really.
I wish I could take it again! Gah.
(I'm not a mature applicant.)

Hi Pinksparkly, I'm afraid no one can hand on heart tell you you yay or nay in whether it is ultimately good enough. But you may get an idea from previous cut off scores. I think it generally is around the 620 mark for the Barts five year programme. However this is liable to change from year to year, maybe higher or lower.
Therefore it might be prudent to look into universities which put less weight on the UKCAT or take a stab at the the other entrance exams as a couple of other London universities accept them. I also know Leicester put less weight on the UKCAT if other parts of your application are good.
All the best.
