Hi Philippa I will join the group the only slight issue being that a few of my work colleagues are friends on FB and it may let the cat out of the bag if they all see I have joined the group. Obviously will be easier once I have handed my notice in. Do you know if there is any way of stopping other people seeing which groups you have joined?

Put your work colleagues on limited profile and change your settings so they cannot see your groups....I spend way too much time on the net!

Yes just join then go to your profile and click remove for the post on your wall saying that you've joined and hey presto no one can see it in their news feed

I tend not to use facebook too often, although I am on facebook and Like GazT I do not want too many people knowing what I am doing

They won’t be able to see the groups you have joined in their newsfeed if you do this. However, if they ever look into your profile they can still see which groups you have joined. Limited profile is better. Admittedly it takes longer, but It is better to be safe than sorry. You might also want to check that they can’t see your wall posts- in case someone else posts something on there without realising/forgetting your situation.

To be honest I am not sure what I will do. I still have one decision pending- as do you!

As a graduate course I can afford to study at Barts, whereas I will struggle with my finances for Kings 5 year. I have other personal reasons for deciding for each course. However, for each one there also seems to be a counter argument!! Lol. Hopefully going to the open day for Barts on the 22nd will give me a clearer idea. what about yourself? Will you be attending the open day?

I've just made Barts my firm on UCAS. Oh so exciting! I've joined the facebook group but there's still a few more people I want to tell before I start joining in the discussions etc, so they don't find out on facebook!

Still got exams to take so need to come down from my high and concentrate on revision...
