BM4 2010 entry - successful candidates
Hello everyone, first of all congradulations for those of you with offers (and condolences for those without). Could the successful BM4 graduate candidates post some information here such as:
1) UKCAT score
2) Degree classification (or prediction)/degree info
3) Some information about their work experience
4) Your interview experience (how formal/informal was it; just general things)
I understand that achieving all of the above is not a guarantee of a place, however I just thought that it might be useful for future candidates, thanks

FWIW, fe_n_ce is probably talking about the undergraduate course... Did you mean the 4-year GEP course when you said BM4?
Cheers

Yay - can finally post on this thread!
1) UKCAT score = 697.5
2) Degree classification (or prediction)/degree info = 2:1 (Hons) Physics
3) Some information about their work experience = Not too much - a week in maternity hospital but lots of personal experiences and 3-4 years volunteering although not in a hospital setting.
4) Your interview experience (how formal/informal was it; just general things) = it's an assessment day with several elements which I thought was good as it gave people an opportunity to shine in a variety of situations... but I possibly would say that! I found the interview bit fairly structured but informal (but that may have been more to do with my style than the interviewer's.)--

Me too!!
1) UKCAT = 755
2) Degree = 1st, Chemistry
3) Work experience = 2 weeks shadowing Doctors in NHS hospitals; 5 years running community health programmes in Asia (current job)
4) Interview experience = assessment centre lasting all afternoon, several activities. Structured interview but with questions that give you scope to present your strengths and motivation. I actually quite enjoyed the day!Last edited by elise_h; 15-04-2010 at 02:00 PM.

Just to tell you *quite* how incredibly sad I am. I celebrated by buying an Anatomy and Physiology book that I've had my eye on.
Did also drink some champers but still... am officially a sad geek... excellent that I'm going into a career where it's admired rather than derided.
Cheers

2) Degree classification (or prediction)/degree info = 2:1 (Hons) Biochemistry
3) Some information about their work experience = A year hospital volunteering, shadowing GP, Psychiatrist, Specialist Registrar
4) Your interview experience (how formal/informal was it; just general things) = Now for my sins I work in recruitment at the moment so was glad that the day was nothing like the gruelling events that we put on. I actually messed up one of the sections a bit so was happy that I could make up the points in other areas, it hasn't stopped me revisiting that section in my mind over and over again (not any more though!!!!!). All in all though quite a fun day to be honest.Barts GEP 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
