can someone clarify this for me,
Career opportunities
"Many of our Biomedical Science graduates go on to medical degrees at Barts and The London under the 'Procedures for recruitment of Biomedical Science and Engineering students into the School of Medicine and Dentistry medical degree programmes – Modified Application Scheme'.
what does this mean? thanks

Try doing some googling. From what I remember being told on the phone on results day, it was something like the top 10 students get to go through to their medical degree programme or something? Or have some kind of advantage if they apply. Unless I'm confused.. google.

You're best off doing a relevant Bsc where ever you prefer to study IMO, and apply to where you want to after. Unless you want to study at QMUL anyway.

As far as I know, QM have stopped giving guaranteed places to BioMed grads now. Equal ops and all that I think....at least that's what I was told last year, but what goes on behind closed doors when it comes to making these decisions is a whole other issue.

Behind closed doors indeed.. Sussex grads have a similar advantage to Brighton&Sussex Medical school because the full transcripts can be handed over (attendance, year 1 marks etc.) A 1.1 from year 1&2 get you a gauranteed interview from mol. med.

i know of around 20-30 biomed/bsci student from QM in barts this year.
